5 parent classes will be offered for 2026 so please plan accordingly
The Parent Course at Flint Driving School is designed to keep parents aware of the various rules and regulations that are in placed to ensure their child’s safety while driving with a learner’s permit. The parent class is mandatory for everyone under the age of 18 and the certificate is valid for 5 years. The 2-hour course is usually offered once a month at our Flint street location and effective May 1st of 2019, the RMV requires that all students under the age of 18 must first complete a parent class before any observations or behind the wheel training can begin.

Your child does not need to attend the parent class and one or both parents are welcome to attend but please sign up individually so we can have an accurate head count
