The RMV allows students to attend a driver’s education course as early as 15 years and 9 months and coming into the classroom at that age allows adequate time to properly prepare parents/students for what lies ahead especially with all of the recent changes to various protocol of the driver’s education program. Flint Driving School offers driver’s education courses that run throughout the year and there are 3 different style of courses to meet the State-mandated 30 hour requirements.

  • Course 1: our 1-week accelerated program that runs Monday through Friday from 8AM to 2:30PM
  • Course 2: our 15-week program that runs only on Saturdays OR Sundays from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM OR 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Course 3: our 15-week program that runs only on  Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The RMV has a strict rule where students must be at least 15 years and 9 months on the first day of class in order to take the driver’s education program.  There is no exception to the rule and check our FAQs page for more rules regarding driver’s education.
